The hand that shifted the tournament for me and my heads up competitor started with a pre-flop raise by my opponent. He held pocket tens. I called the $75K hold a Ac-9d. The rollercoaster hand started with my opponent's chances of winning at 73%. The flop showed 9s-2c-4d. I paired my nine and had the best kicker. Still, my opponent had me beat with his pocket and now his odds to win the pot were 78%. So I checked and he bet $100K. I re-raised $250K more. After much thought he pushed back all-in. I felt I was pot committed, so I decided to cover the bet.

Drama ensued as the As came on flop games, it is the fourth community card dealt (also known as "the turn") and represents the third round of betting. In Stud games, it is the fourth card dealt to each player and represents the second round of betting.">fourth street. This gave me two pair and a 96% chance to win the pot. The tables had turned and I looked to be on my way to victory at the Main Event. My opponent kicked his chair and was ready to leave defeated. And rightly so given his less than 5% chance to catch one of the two tens left in the now 44 card deck.

Incredibly, the 22 to 1 shot paid off. A 10s on the river gave my opponent a winning set on tens. I would have won the Main Event bracelet if that miracle ten did not hit the river.

Who am I??

HINT: Chip Reese called this hand "the most incredible hand in WSOP history!"
