Over the weekend, I was leafing through a nature book while waiting for a headache to go away. (I know. I should have been getting those way-too-late November contests results posted.) Anyway, while reading about the octopus, I found myself thinking that there is really such a thing as being too polite. When the male octopus wants to give his mate a little more than just a kiss, he uses one of his ten arms to politely hand over to her a "handful" of his sperm. She then inserts the sperm into her own body. There's something to be said for being human. Have a happy and prosperous week in the next seven days!
