When I first decided to make the THOUGHT OF THE DAY a feature at Poker-Crush, I intended to rely on my own contemplations, since I tend to do a lot of contemplating as I sit under a tree and think about Life in general.....or sit in a busy mall and people-watch..... or, well, you get the idea. I figured that if I drew a blank, I could always check out a Treasury of Quotes. It wasn't long until I discovered that the citizens of Crushville were doing a lot of thinking themselves.....and sometimes, in a post or a message, one of them would say something that would definitely qualify as a "quotable quote". Thinking about it now, I realize that it makes perfect sense. Poker players have to possess the quality of being good, logical, and contemplative thinkers! I will never have a contest for a thought-of-the-day! The thoughts that are the best ones do not come that way. They enter someone's mind all on their own, often when he or she is least expecting an original good thought. But when I happen to read something that a member has posted, often their words just grab me.....and I mull over them for a few days.... or for the rest of my life. In my personal opinion, the day that any guru stops learning from his followers is the day that he stops being a Guru. With all that in mind, I now present to you some words from our own quite unique philosopher.....Royalblush.
