Often, the blinds will escalate every 5 minutes. In fact, it is not unheard of to have the blinds increase every two minutes! These types of tournament have a higher luck factor than typical tournaments. There is very little postflop play because people tend to be forced to go all-in preflop or fold. For this type of tournament, aggression is important. In conclusion: The blinds will quickly eat away your stack if you play passively. The luck factor becomes too high, and makes it even more difficult to make a profit if regularly played. I now only play turbo's in the interest of saving time. If you don't have the patience for "normal" poker, or don't have many hours to devote to grinding, you should try a turbo tourney. ----------------------------------- rsablebomb 03.03.2013, 13:57 ----------------------------------- I kind of like fast play tournies. I like poker and all but it gets a bit tiring when it is the same ole crepe of fold fold fold. It helps if you can double up early once or twice when the blinds are still small.
