Hi Poker Guru,I've just read this post,hope it's still okay to reply.
I'm an avid Manchester United supporter & season ticket holder. I haven't missed a home game since crashing on the way to the game in '99'. I live & breath football, even my boss plans my work around United fixture's. Some friend's I have talk only football,nothing else, literally. With others it's football,women,football,money,football,beer and football.
So I'm going to give this site a miss because I think, no, I know you are absolutely spot on. I also have an add-on to your theory. Those whose team has lost that week will be already having a bad week. They'll be down and miserable and easy meat at the poker table. So be wary of  Man.Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea supporter's because they're all flying this season.
