WHAT IS BLACK FRIDAY? THE ANSWER IS-

THE FRIDAY AFTER THANKSGIVING WHERE RETAIL STORES OPEN AT INSANELY EARLY HOURS & BOAST THE CHEAPEST DEALS ALL YEAR LONG! THE LINES ARE USUALLY LONG & THERE HAVE BEEN REPORTS OF PEOPLE BEING HOSPITALIZED OVER FIGHTING FOR THE "LAST" OF CERTAIN ITEMS! THE CLERKS MUST HATE WORKING IT!!
 

 So now the contest- EVERYONE posting will receive 100 pc-points! The member with the ONLY correct answer gets 500 pc-points. The contest will close, and everyone will be credited when this occurs.


EXACTLY WHY IS IT ACTUALLY CALLED BLACK FRIDAY?

when a business turns a profit it is consodered being in the black as opposed to in the red = no profit

what is black friday...well its the day after thanksgiving and traditionally 1st day of christmas shopping...and the term black friday originated in philadelphia in reference to heavy traffic on that day...tho more recently its used as to refer to the day retailers go into the black instead of being in the red ie retailers start making a profit...is that answer acceptable my dearest patti lol

Because it is the day that companies sell a lot which means they make a lot of money.  On their sales charts, they can go from being in the red (bad, no profits) to in the black (profits).  Simple as that.
