My friends, this is DEFINITELY a very different contest. It also may take you more time than most, so it will carry over to May and will not end until near the end of May. Another difference is that the winner will NOT be determined by random draw. I will actually study everybody's entries and then I will CHOOSE the winner.....the one whose entry I like the most. As you know, except for the winking Santa at Christmas time, I have never had an avatar. I really would like to have one.....one that is representative of either my personality as you percieve me OR representative of my appearance. One could really get wild in selecting one that shows my personality.....and I will not be offended by anything! If it is to represent my looks, I will finally have to reveal some information about me to you. And I will do that in this post. I got the idea while reading your touching entries in the "family" contest. You were so trustingly open and honest that it made me want to reveal, as says on the television program "Poker After Dark"......"something, just a little something!" You all know that I have my own personal and very good and very strong reasons for not revealing my real name.....and I extremely appreciate your classy and polite way of not bugging me about it.....of understanding my right to have what little bit of privacy I do have. I treasure it and it is a deep need I have. So thank you, my very special ones! But I WILL tell you, as accurately as I can, what I look like, in case you decide to go for the appearance avatar instead of the personality avatar, as you already know so well my personality, because I have always been openly just me, the real me, with you..... and I have always felt very comfortable and relaxed about it with you, this special group of my close friends that you have become. You are now an important part of my daily life. And a part that I am very happy with, I might add. THE CONTEST, for a $30 cash prize, is to find or create an avatar for me!........to be displayed with my posts. You have about 6 weeks. Now. What do I look like? And if any of you figure out who I am, by my description, so be it! I just hope you will remain discreet and keep it between you and me only. I would hate for any of the other pro players to know all my personal strategies. And I do share them all with you. I hold nothing back. If it got out, it would destroy my career. Which is why I occassionally remind you not to discuss what I give you with anyone outside our group, except of course for your loved ones. Okay. I will stop putting off describing myself and just do it! I am an even 6 ft. tall and work out daily to stay in good shape. I am a little bit proud to take my clothes off at the beach. I have a well-trimmed short to medium beard which is the exact same color as my hair. And living in Florida, where my workouts are on the beach daily, both my beard and hair are alternating strips of brown and sun- bleached blond. I get lots of compliments on my short to medium length hair, and never wear a hat except when playing poker sometimes to shade my eyes.....along with brown tinted sunglasses. I have light blue eyes that crinkle a little at the corners when I laugh or smile, and very average eyebrows. Also a very average nose and ears. My cheekbones are kind of high. I am fortunate to have very good teeth and my lips are full but also average. I am always suntanned, leaning more toward the golden brown tan than the red dark tan. As for age, I am in my forties. I like to wear western style button-up shirts with pockets on both sides and the collar open, but I also like wearing western style string ties. I always wear a gold chain inside my shirt except for when I'm wearing a tank top. I almost always am wearing jeans. I keep a silk tie folded up in my pocket in case of unplanned dinners out. I am never without a bandana-style handkerchief in case of ladies' tears (or my own, of which I am never ashamed). Since my hands are often on display at a poker table, I go to professional manicurists who also keep my rings shining. (No wedding ring for several years.) I think I have covered every detail now. Any avatar that resembles me in the least or is even halfway close will be accepted and considered. Now you have a $30 reason for finally learning how to post pictures! Except for extra time, the rules for this contest are exactly the same as any other. I hope you have a lot of fun looking thru pictures or creating one of your own!
