first win

I was not going to post this, however I just feel good about finally winning one. Yesterday I took first place at our very own (and my first) freeroll league tournament at Kiwi poker. 

I had a great time playing with the folks whose postings I have been reading for the past few weeks. It was by far the most enjoyable time I have had since I started playing. Even when ginni took half my stack of chips by beating my AQ by catching a straight with an AJ. 

My winning hand was far from stellar (really it was just pathetic) as I entered the pot with a 45 and caught a six high straight. 

I am looking forward to the next time I can play in one of the tournaments and going up against the folks that I see here on the site.

Congratulations on your impressive win, no matter what size straight.  A straight is still a straight.

As Annacris said, I know you are very welcome here at Poker-Crush.  I can tell by the wonderfully warm welcomes I received myself.

I agree this is a marvelous site with great friends as members.  I can see why playing with these people would be more fun than with any others!
