----------------------------------- ALW 21.03.2007, 21:08 A Poem ----------------------------------- Hi everyone, I'm a little bored because nobody is posting, so I thought I would make up a poem. Hope it's okay to put on this forum. I went up town, I got knocked down, By a Rover, I did a double vault, A back somersault, And a tipple-over, Everyone clapped, As my bone's snapped, I thought I was a goner, A woman in a pink dress, Ended up a right mess, When I landed on her, Some old bloke, Thought it was a joke, And started cheerin', He held up a 10, And said do it again, And I'll get you a beer in, A young voice said, Oooh, look at his head, Why is it pointed, Upside down, And the other way around, He must be double-jointed, I rose to my feet, In the middle of the street, The wind was blowing, I felt as light as a feather, But I didn't know whether, I was coming or going, With some urgency, I was taken to emergency, Where they operated, But I didn't care, Cause I'm a millionaire, Now I've been compensated, When my money runs out, I'm in no doubt, But I'm not sure when, I'm going down town, To get knocked down, And do it all again. Well I have a confession to make ... "Poppy" was "given" to me as PC ID by someone I used to know and as English isn't even my native language I have no clue what it means ... Oopsie ... LOL So ... someone - feel free to tell me ... It has big showy red petal's and a small, round black centre with a milky sap that has narcotic propertie's.
