Hi everyone,

I've just wrote this poem that I'd like to show you if I may.

THE GAMBLING MAN

HE'S A BOOKIE'S MONKEY,
A BLACKJACK JOE,
A CASINO JUNKIE,
A SLOT MACHINE MOE.

HE'S A ROULETTE ROGER,
A DOUBLE DOWN DAVE,
A BETTING SHOP LODGER,
A GAMBLING SLAVE.

HE'S A BACARAT BILLY,
A POKERSHARP PETE,
A WILEY OLD WILLY,
A CHARLIE CHEAT.

HE'S A HIGH STAKE'S HARRY,
A DOG TRACK DAN,
A LOTTO LARRY,
HE'S THE GAMBLING MAN

That is very, very good!

Now.......I play guitar and keyboard, soooooo -- The tune? You could have a hit on your hands!

It really gets me how everybody underestimates their talents, while many less talented gain famee and fortune!

Using the name of the first pet you ever owned for your first name,
And the name of the street you were born in for your surname.
If my son Alan becomes a pop idle and changes his name in this way,
He would be called " Chubby-Cheek's Appleblossom"

I just re-read your "Gambling Man" and am even more impressed this time!

I think I really will set it to music and maybe you and I will become the next most famous pop stars in music! ROFLMAO!!

I will have to let my hair grow out quite a bit! How about you?

Thank you for reading my poem, it's really nice to get some positive feedback from it.
I sent a poem to poetry.com in late February. Just before I went walkabout.
Two days ago I received a letter telling me they are going to publish it, on a page of it's own.
It has made the last 4 in their monthly $1,000 contest.
The odd thing about it is, I wrote it 24 years ago. lol
I'll post it along with the certificate I received as soon as I can buy a scanner.
