Hello again, magnificent ones!

For our second contest this month, please read the first 12 lines on our Portal Page and post your HONEST opinion. Don't even think of my feelings; I prefer TRUTH!

Prize will be $30 and all who post will have their names entered for the draw!

Remember you must have 3000 PC points to redeem for the cash prize. Also an online account.

I think it was put quite nicely but if I opened and started reading to be honest if I was not a poker player I might close it up as this forum is a whole lot more then poker and how to play it .its friends,reinsurance when someone needs it and a whole lot of awesome people.I really hope I didnt offend you in any way as its so much more then poker.contest ,games and the list goes on.but those are the beginning lines you asked us to read. Very Happy

I like what the whole page says, but if I were just reading the 1st 12 lines, I might not check out the whole site. I think that it is important for people to know that they are getting sound advise from a professional poker player not some goof-ball.

Personally, I like what it says. It explains what we as members already know about the site. However, it's not us members that you are trying to entice into exploring the site, it is new visitors you are trying to reach.
With that in mind, I remind you of the old saying,"Money talks,B--s--t walks!" By that I'm not implying that you are a BS'er LMAO!!!! I am simply saying that in order to peak visitors interest in exploring the site extensively,"Free Real Money" has to mentioned very early. Perhaps you could even have a link directing the visitors to a "Testimonial Page" where we as long time members can post about our "Winnings" from both very improved play from our "Guru's" teachings....as well as winnings we've had using the money we've won in the monthly contests!!

And there is so many thing in a forum that teaches us stuff every day . So old and new this is a great place to be for Poker and other gambling needs . And what a great place to make friends and learn . But very true what spooth said money talks

Well I thought it sounded great. It should do well in getting most of the guests, who come in to look around, to actually become members. I am finding that those 12 lines ( and I read on ) tell the truth in the great people here and the vast knowledge that can be found.

It is worded perfectly, Guru....warm and personable and inviting to new readers....if you're good thinking ever fails you at poker you could easily make money in a variety of english writing jobs!

Ok I am going against the grain here... yes the MONEY MONEY MONEY gets your attention but that seems a little sensational to me as we are more about learning poker than giving out tons of cash.

Now if it said learn to pay poker like a Pro and possibly raise your income because of it and yes include the fact we give a lot of cash prizes away, I would be more impressed.

To me the way it is now... we will attract more freeloaders than people who want to learn poker. More people after free money than are serious about learning Poker. I dunno... I think it will attract the wrong kind of people... more lazy less thinking and after more free money.

Sorry everyone to go against the grain... I think it needs to be more of a mixture of LEARNING (1st) and MONEY (2nd).

After all- our new listing in Google is for the best forum around to learn poker!!!!

We want our membership to rise yes... but we want people really interested in POKER. Now if they are serious about poker or wanting to learn poker they will come running anyway whether we dangle $$$$ in front of their eyes or not.

Yes it is nice to entice to get them to come....waving $$$$ but a serious person won't stay or contribute for that fact alone... a person who is good of heart, has some brains, and wants to LEARN WILL stay and contribute.... and yes MONEY always helps Razz

I read the whole thing and I agree with everyone who says its warm and welcoming for new members...I still think though that the FREE money is still down too low Wink

I was never good at writing in english classes but what you're writing
sounds great to me.The idea of testimonials is brilliant.I for one love
seeing screen shots as I believe most people do.Adding links to the testimonials, since I believe 100% of them are a direct result of your teachings, would stir the heart of any poker player.
