Post subject: POLL REVISED PLEASE COMMENT AND VOTE PLEASE
Hi Poker Crushers!
I realize we are just starting to take right off with getting a lot more members and so I was wondering .....
Every month we have a "Game Points" Contest where the top 10 scorers are put into a random drawing for a $30 prize.
In the past we've also had a "Featured Game" Contest where the top 10 scorers were also put into a random drawing for a $30 prize.
Whilst both of these contests are very competitive and a lot of members love the challenge at CC, we were wondering if you would prefer to continue having the "Featured Game Point" Contest or should we possibly have a different type of contest either from the Guru or myself?
Please vote and please post any comments you may have.
This is your forum and we really would appreciate you letting us know what you would like to see or do here at PokerCrush!

Well, OrangeCrush, they are doing just what we asked them to! They are telling us! Thank you members!!!!!!
We will wait a little while longer to give every member who wants to, a chance to speak their mind before making our decision.
But, basically, as far as I am concerned, what they want, THEY GET!
MEMBERS: By the way, if you want any more games added to PC for the contests, I can give you any that are at our big sister site, Casino Crush. I don't know if that fact will affect yor decision or not, but thought you should know.
Now I have to leave this thread for awhile and start posting the winners of all our August contests!!! I know I am late, but it is very hard judging this month! Even so, I think Orange Crush already has winners of all HER contests announced, so I had better hurry because I had several contests for you, too, this month!
And just wait until you see mine for September! ROFLMBO!!!!!

I really like both contests just as they are and the reason is simple really. The monthly game points competition allows me to play a variety of games, while the featured game contest gives me incentive to attempt to master that game LOL

i didnt see the original poll , though orange posted its been revised.....so apparently bowers idea is a choice.....which i chose. 2 featured game contest from differnt catergories. ok ok let me check something out......as of now we only have the total game points contest, not both such as over at CC ..... well at CC there is total game points for alll month. plus the two featured contests.....basically 3 chances at winning .... well i would say Bowers idea gives 2 chances at winning preferably to one.....hey im confusing myself im going to click submit and make note as other Crushers have.....Thanks for allowing us to take part in Poker-Crushes contest agenda!!!!

I always love reading your posts and almost always agree with you, but my friend, there really are some members who have to work so much and want to read everything so bad, but simply never seem to have time, even when they CAN get their hands on a shared computer that several other family members also want to be on.
It was those people to whom I was referring, and I know you don't want to be unsensitive enough to them to say "tough noogies". Right?

I'm sure everybody here knows you well enough by now to know you would never say anything to hurt anybody's feelings on purpose. I think maybe I should apologize to you because I just wasn't thinking either or I could have and would have sent you a PM instead of a post.

What I think would REALLY be cool is if there was a way to have a poker marathon deal here like the bingo games at CC. I'm sure it's far from being just that easy to get something like that set up and everything, but it sure would be cool don't you think?

I think there can't be to many contest's, so what I suggest is to run 74
featured game contest's, one for each and every game, and 1 game's contest for the total aggregate score for all game's. lololol
There dosen't need to be money involved for every contest. You can't buy that winning feeling, you have to earn it, and when you do, it's priceless.

I think that the high point total contest sucks personally sorry to post it so bluntly but cmon some people learn how to play one game like CHICKEN IN A BASKET and get scores like this...39,219,292,013
The they dont even have to play anyother games they play that with a score like that one 3 times and they are already in the top 10 scoresers for the month everytime that blows if you wanna make it a competitive competition make it on different games that are random and not posted till the day the contest starts so noone can practice ahead of time or make it on games that you cant get bs scores like 40 billion such as pacman high scores Ive seen on that game are at most like 30 thousand and that requires alot more actual competitive play than get the most points in all the games to win at leaast in my opinion!

Hello Str8lagger.... I am going to have to disagree with you... games like CHICKEN IN A BASKET take HOURS to play to get a score like that and the game is quite boring... I myself play a variety of games and usually place in the top 10.... I believe that this contest is a great one for people who like to play the games no matter which game they play :-)

There are over seventy games. I agree that there are some that are over generous with their game points, and also some that are not so generous.
A review of all these games in an attempt to get them spot on would take a long time.
Seeing as though we all seem to be the experts on this matter, maybe we should do the reviewing.

We could all be given the opportunity to register as a reviewer. Then given a few games to review, and then post our thoughts & opinions on what we think the score to game points ratio should be.
It isn't Poker I know, but it's just a suggestion.
P.S. What happened to the new Mahjong that we trialled ?
