Well now, folks, I have a few things to say about the 3D Live Poker site. If I can stop laughing long enough.

First, I encourage you wholeheartedly to sign up for this freeroll. You WILL have a good time, whether you win or not.

BUT --Don't show up 5 minuteds ahead of time. Instead, show up a good 24 hours ahead of time if possible. If not possible, then go sign up as soon as you finish reading this.

Why?

Because it will take you that long to learn what you are doing and to learn how to use all the bells and whistles. This is quite a site and if it takes off, you can expect more to follow suit.

I have been playing there the last couple of weeks and it seems like I learn something else that is possible to do there with every visit. It truly is the closest thing to real 3D that we have on the poker web sites and the closest thing to 3D in general without haqving to wear those funny glasses.

It takes a while to learn your way around, too. So PLEASE don't wait til the last minute. Once you do learn your way around and learn how to conduct yourself, you will have loads of fun.

Just don't go there expecting to play poker on any early morning. They are a new site and there will be nobody around. Not even the people who work there.

The freerolls are a great idea for them to get a start because they definitely need to get new members and all the word-of-mouth advertising possible. It takes a crowd to have a good choice of games and tables, and it will take a little while for them to get their membership built up into a crowd. But if they get rolling with any momentum, it will be, in my opinion, one of the best sites for playing poker.

I do not hesitate to advise everybody to sign up as a member at this site ......and the sooner the better. After the freeroll, I also advise you to play in the FREE PLAY MONEY part of the site until you become very familiar with it.

HAVE FUN, GO EARLY, and TO GENO: Good going, old chap! This site deserves our support and Poker-Crush deserves their support!

And THAT is the latest word on the subject! LOL (For what it's worth.)

Your in-the-vanguard leader,

PokerGuru

well I would love to play in this one and will register and see if I can. I tried to play there a little while back and since my computer is only 800mhz not 850mhz it would always time me out and not get to play my hands, so all I did was waiste the time of the people who could play. So I will join in and if I cant get it working in the first few hands then I will just sit out for the rest of the tourney.

Hope it works and hope to see you all at the tables,

Treehug

I was extremely disappointed to hear the freeroll at Live3D Poker had to be cancelled last night due to lack of attendance.

20 people was the minimum required.

22 people signed up.

Not even 20 people showed up.

There's not much more to say.

Any guesses or opinions as to what happened?

Dear Geno,

My apologies sincerely to you for the failure of Poker-Crush to enroll sufficiently to cooperate and take advantage of the freeroll you worked to acquire and set up for us at Live3D Poker.

The three most obvious reasons were as follows:

1. My failure to inform the members far enough in advance that such a possibility might be forthcoming.

2. Several members would gladly have taken part except for the fact that their computers simply did not have the resources required to play at a site with such advanced features.

3. They really did have very short notice of the event. If they did not for any reason visit our site on the certain day of the announcement, they probably would not have had time to download and become familiar enough with the site to sign up for a tournament the next day.

As Always,

Poker-Crush's PokerGuru

I tried to be at the tourney, but like I said my computer did not meet the minimume requierments. Then to top it all of, the mother board I did have with 800mhz decided to fry when I was trying to get into the software(no fault to anything but myself, I did something stupid with it still running errrrgggggggg). So now I am stuck with a 700mhz cpu that just really sucks. Man I just am not having any luck as of late lol. I hope that my p4, 1200mhz should be up and running soon, and then will not have that problem again.

Sorry I was not able to make it, but hope to be able to play there in the near future.

My Dell Dimension 8200 cannot run this software at all. I've tried different settings to no avail. I barely see the flop in time to bet most of the time, but the turn and river are always blind bets. Very frustrating to say the least. I echo Poker Guru's apology to you Geno. I would participate if my machine could handle the load, my friend.

I need a calendar with dates circled in red and a big reminder like a poke with a big stick!! lol Besides I had to call bingo, I hadn't noticed the day of the week it was on either. Sad

I did go in and watched for a while. I definately want to try this 3 D out!!

I will do my best NOT to have a repeat of this happening again! I'm sorry.

Happy Gaming Always!

Awwww, OrangeCrush.........

When a lady has to work, a lady has to work. A very valid reason for not being able to attend! Especially when working for the benefit of our ever-lovin' Crushers!

Almost all of those who did not make the freeroll did, in fact, have very valid reasons!

I was there waiting in the shadows after I lost $15 on a ring game.

Dealt A/K suited

flop comes out with K,9, 7

OK I have high pair with Ace kicker

I come out and bet $3 and the only other player in the hand raises me.

(OK usually when I am reraised, they I am all in, but this time I'm wanting a little more out of him)

Turn comes out K

I now have trip K's, I bet $5 and the other player raises me to put me all in. Is he crazy?? I have trips with A kicker. No straight or flush draw is possible. I'm now thinking easy money, easy money.

River (damn the river) River is a 5..... a stinking 5

Cards are turned over, I have trips and the other player has a fullhouse 5's over Kings

<shaking head> Ya gotta love that river

Ouch! That's bad, Bee. But you know what? The river is the very thing that makes Texas Hold'em so exciting! Remember, for every person that gets an upsetting surprise by it, there's a person who can jump up and down and cheer with unexpected happiness! And over any period of time, it all equals out that everybody has the same number of good as bad surprises.

I had a student once who could have easily gone pro except for the fact that he got so upset by every disappointing river that he was no good at playing from then until too long later when he got over it.

When I had almost succeeded in helping him conquer his worst enemy -- his own state of mind, he just threw in the towel and gave up.

A great disappointment to me personally because I like to get my students to the point where they can beat me before I consider my tutoring to be successful. But a bigger disappointment because I knew what this guy COULD HAVE been!

So hang in there. Don't EVER give up!
