I am just curious about the screen names people choose and if you would post here and tell us all about it and why you chose the name you use, or maybe there isn't any reason. I am just wondering because some of my fellow PCer's have really unusal names. I can't help but be curious. TY

As for me, my husband and I used to have and raise horses I love all animals, but at the time when I found the internet I was in a few classes at the local college all about horses. Showing, breeding, production, and diseases, it was all part of my major. My first choice was msmare but it was already taken naturally filly came to mind and ,so I became msfilly. There's my story how about telling me yours?

lol you know what they say about curiosity killing the cat....but as you are so nosey lol i called myself broxi as that was my real name...ok lol its the name of the mascot for greatest soccer team in the world...long story as to why i was using it but least you know what broxi is...its a big teddy bear lol

Well mine isn't strange ,weird or unusual it is just my first name which I like.
I have had many names I used to use but I noticed I wasn't myself much when I used them. I would take on the persona of each name that I picked. Finally, I decided to just use my real name hence I would act real.

Some of the names I used before were Mother Nature, Persia, Mindweaver, Black Widow.

Mother Nature was a motherly type person, Persia was kind but a little held back, Mindweaver was more mistical mental, and Black Widow was a downright flirty and extremely open to things. ROFL

Now I am just me Razz

mine is used because all of my poker friends started calling me this, Dmoney. My 1st name Derrick, naturally they took the D and added money to it, sometimes they Just call me D.

The 644 came in play when i opened my 1st poker account in 2006 at Party Poker, back when USA could still play there. The name Dmoney was aleady taken, so the 644 was suggested to make my name available so i took that one, Thus making me Dmoney644.

originally my street name was sodapop taken from the movie the outsiders. i was very much into the club scene but never drank alcohol...only pop...however this year i have taken online poker and gaming seriously and so I wanted to mark a new beginning with a new nickname but one that i could still identify with - cocakolakid - i love and drink cocacola everyday and just like coke - I'm the real thing =)

I just shorten my name to shirls( other use to call me)from real name shirey and added play to it because i like to play.that's me.lol:)

I'm very un-original; years ago, when I created my email account, I couldn't think of anything clever on short notice, so the A is for my first name (ambre) and fulk is part of my last name, and the 8 is because that was a racecar that I was fond of...so it just stuck, me being too boring to create new names just took that one along. Interesting to see how others got their names, I loved the Outsiders, and have to laugh at Broxi being a big teddy bear. (you are Paul, just teasing!!)

In 2001, I spent 3 months in a coma and when I came home, It was to discover ny interest in my computer had increased. So having to pick a screen name, I picked "crazynana" but that name was taken... so I dropped the 'a' in crazy and added the year (which was when my life began over again) The 'nana' comes from the small children who would call me 'Nana' while babysitting them.

And so "crzynana2001" was born,

As those who have been around a while would know, crzynana has been shortened to 'Nana' for quite a while, and when Geno asked me what I would like to be called (staff name at PC) I said 'Nana' and he added 'crush'.

So, "NanaCrush" was born!!!!

SS for the book, but 'crzynana' is very fitting as I am 'crazy' about my 2 grandkids!!!!!!!!!!!!!</center>

so when ojisplayin came around, like me, i didn't see it as o-jis-playin i seen it as oj- is- playin roflmao

i was wondering how many others seen it my way too?

I've talked with patti about this before, but never really got what it really was until now. This was a pretty cool thread, i also enjoyed everyones comments, and it would be great to hear some more, as there is always a story behind a username 95% of the time.

I did the same thing the first time I saw it, thought it was OJ is playin', lol. Now that I know, I always hear it in my head "Jis playin". Smile

That is a good question - the answers are interesting. I thought of ojisplayin in the same way.
Mine - 1) gjr1961 is simply my initials and the year I was born.
2) grandglor is shortened from what my grandchildren call me - Grandma Gloria. Also it is my screen name that my daughter picked oput when she was setting up an account on aol (grandmagloria99)
