Poker Guru Lessons (archive) - A Special Note about Poker Lessons PokerGuru - 05.05.2006, 08:37 Post subject: A Special Note about Poker LessonsWell, Crush'em Scholars, I think we have had the longest spring break in history. I thought about sending notice of it to the Guiness Book Of World Records, but I will save contacting them until your spectacular wins show how much learning the right way has payed off for you!
Those of you who have stuck with me until now, or even you who have just read all my feature articles and put some time into thinking about what I have said, have now completed Session One and we are ready for Session Two now.
You are at the very least familiar with poker playing. Now is the time to start learning when to hold'em and when to fold'em, which is the topic of Session Two. As you can imagine, it will consist of more parts than your introduction in Session One.
In keeping with my policy of openness and total honesty with you, I will tell you that I am having eye surgery today. I want X-ray vision to see those cards across the table from me. Kidding about the reason, of course. LOL
If all goes well, I should be back in just one day, even if it is with a pirate patch on one eye.
Then we will be ready to get started again!
If I am a little late in answering your posts yesterday, today, and tomorrow, you now know the honest reason why. But I WILL get caught up!
I hope you are as anxious as I am to start sharing my winning tricks and secrets about how I play my cards.
All will be well. Keep the faith!
As always,

char1984 - 15.06.2008, 22:14 Post subject: Well I missed this post due to health issues and I really hope all went well poker Guru with your eye surgery and the xray eyes help see through the cards and yes just the cards and not the shirts LMAO PokerGuru - 18.06.2008, 10:57 Post subject: Miss Char!!!
Wasn't that remark just a tiny bit off-color?
And here I've been thinking of you as my little girl of the group!
Just joking with you, darlin'. Please think nothing of it.
And yes, the surgery was easy, quick and successful......but darn! I still have only 20-20 vision!!!

Dear Poker Guru,
I think it's a good job that you've only got 20-20 vision, that's if you want to keep concentrating on the cards, and keep winning.
Scoo.x.
PokerGuru - 25.06.2008, 18:31 Post subject: You are, of course, right, Scoo.
And I am very grateful for my 20-20 vision!
Thank you for responding.

lmaoooo i thought you had graduated ages ago
PokerGuru - 30.06.2008, 12:55 Post subject: Broxi, my man,
I think she is referring to graduating from our long course of poker lessons here, which is the equivalent.....counting from the beginning to where we are headed.....the equivalent of an A.A. college degree (Associate of Arts).
We laugh and joke around a lot, but I take teaching my PC scholars very, very seriously. And the ones who are doing so well at the tables now (all these wonderful winning posts) had to have taken their study very seriously too.
I can hardly wait for this latest group of members from CC to become as absorbed in it as the advanced members who have been with me from the beginning are!
It just happens naturally, without you even being aware of it......until one day you suddenly realize you are a REAL poker player!

lol guru i kinda guessed that was what she meant...and i agree you do a great job in teaching the rules and providing tips for pokers which i am sure every one is grateful for...thanks
PokerGuru - 30.06.2008, 18:42 Post subject: No need to thank me, Broxi!
