Your coach and Gururoyalblush - 04.09.2008, 00:26 Post subject: Should be great fun to play in this one! I hope EVERYBODY at PC signs up to play!
Here I go now to sign up.
PC-mates, EACH of you is invited to play on our team! We don't care if you play well or not. Just come have fun with us!
Team Captain Bower will be happy, I'm sure, to explain to you how to sign up to be a team member.
P.S. Our tourney will be cancelled if we don't get at least 10 players registered and showing up for it! Please don't let that happen! Thanks!
Always a PCer!

PokerGuru - 04.09.2008, 19:09 Post subject: Hey, PCers!
It doesn't cost a penny to sign up and play in this tourney with us.
Just thought I would toss that in, in case it was holding back anyone who had shot their budget threw the roof, like I do some months!
Also, as had been said before, we don't care how bad a poker player you are! We are in this to have fun and would love to have fun kidding you about your playing!!!! Te hee
If any of you are brave enough, try to get OC to sign up for it. That will give us one more.
Tomorrow is coming fast!!!!
Would be a shame if the mighty Poker Crushers were knocked out of the league tournament for lack of players!!! Think about it!
Your Guru PokerGuru - 04.09.2008, 20:26 Post subject:

Bower50 - 04.09.2008, 20:29 Post subject:

PokerGuru - 05.09.2008, 07:23 Post subject: We will go hunting thru the brushes and the brambles for them if we have to, Captain Bower!
We are too close to the number we need now to quit!
Come on, PCers! If some of you just cannot, for whatever reason, sign up for TODAY's tournament, BE CHEERLEADERS for your team and go rounding up some players! That is very, very important, too!

I will be observing your playing, moving between the tables, so I can give you any advice you might need after it is over.
But I will also in spirit divide me up into a bunch of little me's to sit on each of your shoulders to help you along the way!
You will do just fine!
Good thinking!
Your Gurubroxi - 06.09.2008, 19:36 Post subject:

Worked for me see evy1 in an hour
PokerGuru - 06.09.2008, 22:25 Post subject: Hi Shawn!
Do you think the handling of pressure at the tables might be something that poker scholars should have lessons and labs and experience at in a 4-year poker course?
It will sure be there later in real life when the stakes are are in the 5 and 6, maybe 7 figures.valeria - 06.09.2008, 22:42 Post subject:
Guess what? I can actually play!!! All signed up...

Well I suck out at 9th I think but I started late so only really only played 5 hands went all in on a pair of 2's what a dummy LOL oh well great game WTG to A winning team
broxi - 07.09.2008, 00:11 Post subject:
lol filly you done better than me...my problem was opposite..i folded a pair of 2s which gave 3 of a kind and that cost me most of my chips when i shouldve called lmao...but theres always another day
char1984 - 07.09.2008, 00:34 Post subject: Thats ok Broxi as I took count and folded 5 flushes and 2 pairs 3 times and noone seemed to want to bet my pocket aces. The game was fun and 3 crushers are still going.way to go all valeria - 07.09.2008, 00:55 Post subject:
Well I finally made the top 3!!! Al wiped me out but that was fun guys and gals!
Considering I haven't played in over 6 months I am proud of myself.
Good game all and great thinking!!!
msfilly - 07.09.2008, 02:12 Post subject:
Thanks for the encouragement Bower sorry the dueces got you too
PokerGuru - 07.09.2008, 04:37 Post subject: Well, I'll tell ya what, Team -- I couldn't be prouder of the team!
Very, very few little mistakes by very, very few players -- and none by the experienced players!
Must admit the cards were falling kind of weird tonight, but you know all about that.....the law of averages says that it will reverse itself next time you play!
So great game and way to go Poker Crushers!
Your Coach and Guruojisplayin - 07.09.2008, 21:49 Post subject:
OMG...after reading all the posts about the choices we all made w/an abundance of pocket 2's
I am still rofllllllllllllllllllllll, so I just had to say"I also lost w/'em" Down to $300-w/Mojo's raises..
Saw that 2 flop up right before River & went ALL-In for a F/H 222/66 & Mojo had 888/66!! LOL
PokerGuru - 08.09.2008, 03:31 Post subject: That is exactly what I meant, OJ.
Those couples and sets of deuces seemed to be the featured Special of the Day!
What can we say except "It happens sometimes!"
We can say that about so many things in Poker. Part of what makes it so fascinating!
Your Guruallight - 08.09.2008, 04:21 Post subject:
For what it's worth I don't like playing dueces myself unless i can get a free or really cheap flop. Odds of getting your set somewhere on the community are only 1 in 4 to 5 times, otherwise the best you can hope for is a race with overcards. If I fold em and do see a deuce I do what I do for any missed opportunity folded....Don't play "woulda, shoulda, coulda poker". Just make the best decision at the time of play and be happy with that. Just my 2 cents worth, and with the Canadians winning all the money, that's about all I have right now....LMAO.
char1984 - 08.09.2008, 04:37 Post subject: I agree fully with you AL as I fold my 2s also and then when Dale sees a 2 on the flop its the shoulda but like I say I have lost way more with 2s then I have won.I usually always fold small pockets. PokerGuru - 08.09.2008, 09:17 Post subject: Good thinking (or remembering), Al and Char. I don't know if you recall, but that is what I have taught, so of course, I am in full agreement.
It surprises a lot of people to know that I rarely play any card lower than 8, no matter what card it is with in the hole. It has paid off bigtime over time!ojisplayin - 08.09.2008, 13:30 Post subject:
**Marked, Noted & Saved** GOAL:Play folding ALL low pairs + refresher on play few/win more!
PokerGuru - 10.09.2008, 00:53 Post subject: OJ, that post has impressed me!
The WILLINGNESS to learn, especially from your mistakes and the successes of others, is one of the main ingredients in the making of a champion!
Your Guruvaleria - 19.09.2008, 16:01 Post subject: What time is the Poker Nordica Tourney on 20th?
I checked at Poker Nordica but don't see it listed. (This is from the one on the 6th) Since I was top 3 I wanted to get in early to sign up so I don't miss it.
With their new software maybe I was looking in the wrong place LOL Wouldn't be the first time!
