Good morning, PCers!

Today's thought takes us back to our main theme of POKER, as we prepare to form our own Forum Team:

Look at every mistake you make as a great bargain you got -- a poker lesson from the best teacher in the world: Experience!

A thought that occurred to your PokerGuru and which I am pleased to share.

The one thing I have discovered playing poker is you need to learn Self-control! Without it you are just bait for the poker sharks.

Not only do you need to learn but you need to have the self control to apply what you have learned.

You can't say well this is the wrong way to play but I have a "gut" feeling..
Or the pot is so nice and I just gotta take the chance it might be mine.... not what are the odds of the hands out there..

Trust me I know... ROFL I mess up a lot because at times I let the "gambler" in me take over not the mind and self control

i'm just the opposite, i'm not much on gambling, thus most times i'm playing too tight Sad as long as we learn from it then we'll be ok Smile

Thanks for sharing your original thought with us, Guru -

enlightening as always, and even more so with each added reply....

I wouldn't change a word of it ... well, EXCEPT ONE!

I would change a word in the subtitle of that post, so that instead of "Today's Thought (A good one)", it would read "Today's Thought (ANOTHER good one!)"

To say "THANK YOU" doesn't seem like enough, sweet one.

But THANK YOU, since it is all I can come up with at the moment!

Your words mean a lot to me!

Your Guru
