Learning your opponent's tells (Live Poker)
- In live poker play, it is necessary to learn the meaning of an opponent's physical "tells." The tell can be a facial expression, a hand or body movement, a laugh or irregularity in breathing. It could even be the way the chips are handled - the possibilities include any body language or vocal cue that regularly accompanies typical betting patterns - particularly raising. Often such clues can add up to a good read of your opponent's poker hand. Good poker players are always watching for tells.
Everyone posting their thoughts will be in a random draw for 2 x $3 in prizes.
Terms For Cash Prizes

When playing live, I am probably too conscious of giving any tells. I actually try to give "false" tells. I call it tell bluffing, to try to throw my opponents off and keep them guessing.

sometimes a delay in playing can be a tell.... they are thinking on what the hand could be worth....lol

I have only played poker live once and I know I cannot do it well. If I am dealt good cards it is all over my face lol.

I know I can not hide my expressions although I try but my face always tells LOL so in person I would not be good at this. Although I sure could practice and maybe study others different expressions or movements like rubbing their chin or forehead maybe, if I see this and study this would be a good plus for me I think LOL
