That is what I thought, also, sunspun. All that extra effort to share with her sitemates, when she really didn't have to do it at all!

That is why I thought she deserved a Special Award!

Glad you who have posted agree! Lets me know I was right!

Thanks again.

Congratulations, Rainbow!!!

Dear Kaylee,

I am so sorry, but thank you for reminding me of this. I have never made it very clear exactly what a ZIP Contest is, and I think it's about time I do so.

First, don't get it confused with any Special Award that I give out once in a while when I notice that a member has gone out of his/her way to do something special above and beyond the call of duty to help out fellow members. I just started the Special Awards last month and don't even have a name for them and they will probably just remain "A Special Award". They will also be rare, as is true of anything that is extra special.

The ZIP Contest was born when I first started my job here. In the middle of a post one day, I thought of a question that would be kind of neat to hear everybody's answer to. It didn't fit into any Contest category we had going, it would take only a minute for me to ask, it would take probably less than a minute for members to answer, and so I just called it a ZIP Contest.

There is no regular schedule for them. They just pop up once in a while at random. And they could be about anything that just happens to attract my attention that I think the members might be interested in.

There is no set value for the prize for winning a ZIP contest either. It usually depends on how well the budget for the monthly prizes is holding up in relation to how well our advertising gambling sites are doing, which determines how well they pay their bills for the advertising we give them and how much it benefits them in bringing in new business. It is all of us working together to help one another succeed that determines everything.

As you know, Geno is always busy, working to come up with special deals for Crushers at the gambling sites, as well as handling all the technical aspects of running any web site. How well everybody responds and does on those special deals means a lot in deciding how much income the forum will receive each month. THE THING THAT MAKES THE CRUSHER SITES SO DIFFERENT FROM OTHERS AND SO SPECIAL is that Geno is a very generous man and he contributes a full one-third of all income to be used as prizes for the members. He was the first forum owner to give cash prizes to members for contests! We are all very proud of that and of him!

Well, I got a bit carried away with answering your question, but I hope that explains it and if you have any other questions to make things clearer, please feel free to ask them. After all, a big part of my job is to make sure all your questions are answered in a way that adds to your knowledge of the gambling industry and everything in it.

Thank you for a very good question!

Your PokerGuru
