Poker Guru Lessons (archive) - NEW LESSON: Study of LAW in POKER CLASS PokerGuru - 05.10.2006, 22:29 Post subject: NEW LESSON: Study of LAW in POKER CLASSWell, poker scholars, there are a few legal issues I would like for you to consider so you will be fully informed should you decide to fight for your right to play online poker.
As poker scholars, you should know more, I think, than the average gambler and that is why I am presenting more!
This may sound like a slim chance, but poker players are accustomed to beating or making the most of slim chances.
Here is my point #1: POKER IS NOT REALLY GAMBLING!
I can visualize the looks on your faces, but it would make a nice court case that I, for one, am willing to fight. And why is it not gambling?
(Oh God, this would be an excellent test question if we were a "REAL" university or college!
What have I always stressed to you? POKER DOES NOT depend on LUCK! Playing poker is putting into practice knowledge you have gained from studying! Like any other profession.....such as LAW!
Gambling depends on luck. On chance. The roll of the dice or spin of the slots, neither of which you have any control over. Therefore, it is gambling.
You DO have control of poker outcomes, depending on how well you know the statistics, percentages, and laws of mathematics and physics. Also depending on how good an education you have received on the psychology of poker, such as in reading tells of your opponents.
Therefore, if you have attended a school of poker, which Poker-Crush provides thru me, you have the right to practice the business for which you have been educated.
POINT #2: International Law gives you the right to play poker or any other game online for money.
There was a time when the United States could turn up their noses and ignor international opinion. That period of history is over as more and more of the world's people see our activities in such areas as the Iraq War as illegal. We have to wake up and smell the smoke in the changing drift of the winds. Had better start paying attention to International Law before we are declared criminals by a majority of the world'd prople.
I am not fully prepared to teach this critical phase of this POKER LESSON, but I am working on it.
I would appreciate the comments of all my Poker scholars!

just a quick thought.....if ya win a freeroll....even if it is only cents....and since ya win your account is credited with real player cents(monies), is that considered depositing? just curious.....
