I've really been enjoying these quotes and comments beloved Guruness!!! (am currently taking a short Poker sabbitical... need to un-tilt... but I'll be back to it soon am sure, and in process of recruiting some local friends to online poker in meantime!)

Dearest Poker Scholar TammyNC

Your judgement in this matter and in this manner is further proof that you possess "the right stuff" for becoming a formidable and money-making poker player!

The top-notch players often take such leaves for the same good reason.

Among professional players, playing while on tilt is considered the second worst mistake made.

So glad you are still on the right track!

Thank you Guruness... I thought it was the right thing to do, I know that distraction, anxiety, fatigue and lack of focus is a good reason to avoid other things at certain times so I felt that it applied here too, glad to know I was right. I've been catching up on some much needed appts and catching a few rays, trying to get in a local game for some face-2-face experience, and am pretty sure, I will need my poker "fix" very soon, and will be well rested, in both mind and body and up to some new challenges. Thank you for your continued advice, support and encouragements, they mean so much 2 me!

ps... I did read this prior, I just hadn't posted a reply, but I was glad to know I was doing the right thing! Very Happy

So have you played face-to-face then Tammy?

You'll have to let us know how that went - or how it goes, if you haven't yet.

Myself, I'll be sticking to online playing, as far as I can see... which is fine with me. That's how I prefer to do just about everything I do nowadays, online!

But yeah, I would like to hear how it goes for you though!

Good luck!
