anyway after the hand i just watched their it shows people can overestimate the value of having pocket aces dealt to them..chris ferguson got pocket aces dealt to him against phil iveys 33...the flop dealt a 3 5 9 and after the river the cards on table were 3 5 9 5 9...so ended up with ivey going all in and ferguson called which gave a $500000 pot....needless to say ferguson lost and went out...in the interview he admitted he felt all the way through that his aces were the best cards and got it wrong...just goes to show even the experts make mistakes sometimes and put to much value on high cards they hold

Thanks for these posts, Broxi.

For one reason, one of my lessons not long ago (I hope someone remembers it! LOL) was about this very same situation.

I remember saying that you should remember even a pair of Aces is ONLY one pair - the lowest winning hand possible after high card.

Yes, I know all the players. I particularly like Phil Ivey, as well as most of the others.

Thanks again, Broxi, for bearing me out. He should have had me for a Guru! ROFLMBOOOOO!

Your Guru
