I saw a post, elsewhere in our forum, where this morning ojisplayin asked the question, "Where is Guru?"
This is my posted reply, wherein, somewhere along the line, I forgot it was to OJ and started speaking to ALL of you! LOL! So......here it is again ====> this time to ALL PCers!!!
Guru is right here, OJ, in my Poker-Crush office, where I am trying to get the rest of Nivembers's contests winners'names and get them announced. Also finishing up all of November's accounting pages and when all of that is done, then I will catch up on December's business so far and plan for the the rest of this wonderful December month here at Poker-Crush!
Will you now, please Miss OJ, give me a note to take to Nana and Bower, so that they might excuse me for being absent for last night's chat? Pretty please?
I could also use a note to take to the rest of the PC membership that they might also excuse me for being late with November contest announcements and being 200 PM messages behind in answering their questions about poker.
ROFLMAOOOOOOOO! Actually, OJ, I am happy as I can be that you care enough to ask! But the opportunity to have some fun with you in posting rarely presents itself so invitingly!
Besides, I always know that Bower and Nana are both capable and always prepared to take over for me at Chat in case I find it impossible to get there. They were both nice enough to prepare with me from the beginning of our Chat program to be ready to do just that. And they have always done marvelous jobs, including Nana's report to me when I get back, always there and waiting for me.
The same is true of our Asst. Director of the Hall of Fame, Valeria, with whom I communicate almost daily on that subject. She is capable of managing quite well without me when it is necessary.
The same is true of all my special and very large group of ACTIVE members, who are very much aware that this is THEIR forum! They have always had enough individual initiative to assume the responsibility of keeping our forum moving forward whether I am here or I am not! That makes you all so very different from any other membership I have ever known!
Whether playing poker or keeping our forum moving ahead and growing, the ACTIVE members of PC know how to roll up their sleeves and get the job done!
I simply MUST stop what I am doing once in a while and think about that and then say to you all -- YOU ARE APPRECIATED!

Administrative duties can be a drag sometimes but necessary.LOL!!!
PokerGuru - 03.12.2008, 20:33 Post subject: Yes indeed, Bower, they can be a really bad drag sometimes. Especially because I am over here at PC as the only admin and the only staff member, unless I ask someone from CC for help with something special.
Whereas, there are 3 of them over at CC to share the administrative duties: Geno, OC, RC.
Sometimes I feel kinda like the lone adopted kid in a big family, to tell the truth.
But this way, at least I don't have to have staff meetings and I don't have to argue with anybody about what kind of forum I want PC to be!!!!! LOL!
