Pokers stars is having a 3K freeroll, but hurry it's in 50 minutes....4pm Central Time. When you register for it, you're info will be forwarded to a Perseve Poker Online website for free registration. Hope people can make it.

Might have been just during the afternoon/evening on Sunday....I'll get over to Poker stars later today and see if I can find out some additional info. Had I good sized stack early on in my entry, but ran into trip jacks with a 9 kicker losing to trip jacks with a 10 Kicker......doh!!!!!! Shoulda folded when he put me all in!

Appears it was a Sunday event...sorry for those who missed it. Don't forget the Summer Games event USA vs. Canada...this week it's PL Hold Em and you can qualify each weeknight in the early evening hours US time for the semi-finals on Sunday.

Well. ya know, Al, NL Poker Holdem is called the Cadillac of all poker games for several good reasons. One of them is that it's the easiest poker game to beat trip Jacks with trip Jacks!

How far into the game were you?

not very far, Guru, half hour maybe. Had doubled up a couple time on the wankers, or as Bower calls them, the "wingnuts". Think those wins made me cocky and called with the trip jacks a little too hasty. Probably shoulda known i was beat with only a 9 kicker, but hey, had they held up I would've been in great shape to make a deep run.

At least you learn from your mistakes, Al, and there's a great deal to be said for that!

BUT....and you knew a "but" was coming, didn't you? LOL That was way too early in the game to be playing around with all-ins from either side.

The other "but" - and I hope you don't mind this being a post that others can learn from instead of a PM that I usually use with such things and most people (I know your ego is not a problem and that is a big relief to me!) -- the other "but" is: You also know better than than to play the "woulda, coulda, shoulda" game.

You're a great poker player, Al, and a great guy, too. An unbeatable combination.
