Help Shape Our Forum - How to change the time display format in the forum? sunspun - 27.03.2006, 10:43 Post subject: How to change the time display format in the forum?
I'm not sure where to post this question I had, so sorry if this is in the wrong place!
I wanted to see if I could change the format that the forum displays my time to me in - I hate that 24 hour clock! It's way too much trouble for me to figure out.
But when I got to that part of my profile, it shows this in that blank where it asks what format to display time in:
d.m.Y, H:i
Now what's that supposed to mean?
And what are my other options?
I can figure out the d,m, and y, means day, month, and year, but H;i?? I don't understand that.
And if I wanted it in some other format, how should I write that in there? Are the other options somewhere that I can just choose one from, instead of having to write it out myself?
Thanks for your help!

Hey, I posted this a long time ago, and I guess it got lost among the other posts, 'cause it never got any replies...
but I just wanted to let you know that I got it all fixed now!
I don't know how the 24hour clock got changed; I dont' remember doing anything about that, so I assume it must have been changed administratively to having the default be the regular clock, not the 24 hour clock. Which makes a lot more sense... what are we, sailors here? NOPE!
And then so it was only the date that I was still having a oroblem with after that, because it was showing up the way I think it's written in the UK, with the day and then the month, all backwards, in other words! jk hehee
That bugged me, but I never did anything about it, til I came across this old post of mine, in which I actually found the answer to that too! In your profile, it says what format you want the date and time to be in; I'd forgotten this was in there. Mine said "d.m.y" and so all I had to do was change it to "m.d.y", and now it's all the way it should be!
Just thought I'd post that in case anyone else's was confusing them too!
