Sharon, I am so happy you got to go out and enjoy yourself. And it was a memorable night to boot!!!!! You will remember this night for quite a while. I hope you get the chance to go out and repeat it often!

This will be be remembered as one of those unforgettable "FIRSTS"! The first night you went out after your leap to freedom.
Sharon. I hope you know that about 95 percent of women in your position end up going back to him. He begs for forgiveness and makes promises and you don't know that this is NOT the man you loved .....that man is gone forever,,,,,,this is the man who took his place.....so....
I learned this from a woman who is a psychologist specializing in abusers and the abused.
Of those who go back, a huge number end up worse than ever.....AND many end up murdered in rage.
I don't want to scare you and I know these are strong words. But you do need to know.
Keep making your life full of fun and laughter, Sharon, and keep moving FORWARD.....never back.

i know this guru, i have went back to him several times and it always ends up the same way but each fight gets worse and i refuse to put myself in that position again. i am not going to believe his lies anymore. that is all it always was...lies to get me back. i have been talking to recovering alcholics and they tell me that alcoholics will lie and say anything to get you to believe in them but they will never change. this is my life and im going to live it to the fullest without him from now on. life is to short to live in misery all the time. he can wallow in his own misery but he is not taking me down with him. thank you donna i am sure i will get another chance to go out and fun. i have gone out and done more things in the past week then i have done in the last 8 months. i love you all and thank you for your words and well wishes!

Hun I am so sorry to hear of this happening to you and very proud of you for leaving!! An alcoholic is a Dr Jekyl and Mr Hyde, inhumane one day and very remorseful the next.
Life is so short to live as a victim the rest of your life. I am so very proud of you for getting out and hun STAY OUT!!! It gets worse each time you go back and you don't deserve that, nobody does!!!
Love ya!
Hugs!
