Poker Winners - A Good Comeback ALW111 - 18.10.2007, 13:44 Post subject: A Good Comeback
By the time I'd got to this tournament, it was on level 10, with the blinds at 500/1,000, and the chip leader on 170,000.
My heart sank when I saw I only had 415 left. I was gutted because I'd played raked hands to enter this, and also received an extra 2,500 starting chips for reaching 50. Hence why I was still here at level 10.
Obviously, I had a lot of luck on my side, but I managed to get back into the tourney, and in the end, I was unfortunate not to win it.
I finished 2nd

ALW!
First, CONGRATULATIONS!
Second, Are you saying that you joined this tournament after it had started???? I had no idea we could do that!!
Educate me! Can it be done at any poker site? Any certain kind of tournaments it is limited to?
AND -- please, if you have time -- advantages and disadvantages of doing so!
Love,

Hi Royalblush,
The tourney registration was open for a while, I registered, then forgot about it and went playing on a different site,
I returned a few hours later, and was taken to my table just in time before the big blind eliminated me.
In these tourneys, you are given extra starting chips for playing raked hands. I started with 3,250 which explains why I lasted so long without playing a hand. The tourney had been running for over 2 hours
Thank you
Alan
