My honey(Linnie16 or evergreen) and I went out today to buy some accesories for our new patio furniture. We had a new BBQ and patio set and wanted to "sexy" it up a bit with some new color co-ordinated cushions and deck box, some lanterns and what not. We spotted a one piece cushion that would allow us to dress up an older patio chair that we didn't want to get rid of. It cost $30 but we figured it was good investment as it would allow us to keep that older piece we couldn't part with. We took it home and MARVELLED at how it fit in perfectly with everything else on the patio that Linnie and myself and Bower spend our summer evenings on.
So Linnie and I are sitting on the patio, enjoying the rather crisp early summer evening air, while Bower is playing his freebies on the various casinos. I'm admiring the "NEW" patio chair with the new cushion. Meanwhile my best buddy GIZMO is laying faithfully at my feet. The thought strikes me that the only member of the family that doesn't have a new addition on the patio is my bestest ever buddy Giz. Guess where I got Gizmo's addition from.......you guessed it.....right from that old patio chair......I laid that brand new stuffed cushion on the patio floor and Giz went for it like a fly after honey.
He looks like absolute ROYALTY laying on his new fluffy patio bed. His old bones no longer have to endure the torture that is a patio floor. He laid a little uncomfortable at first....and gave Linnie and I a tenuous look, and when he realized it was his....he gave out a long doggie sigh...and he really did sigh......and rested his beautiful head down, and slept!!!!
And this wonderful feeling only cost me $30....unbelievable the bargains you can find in God's beautiful world!
