TELLS THAT SAY "I HAVE A WEAK HAND!"

Staring Down Other Players

If an opponent is staring you down, he’s trying to represent strength. Usually though, he has a weak hand – he might have something, but it’s something that can be beaten or drawn out on.

 Holding Breath

Often, inexperienced players will hold their breath if they are bluffing.

TELLS THAT SAY "I HAVE A DRAWING HAND."

Checking Hole Cards After a Flop

If the flop shows the possibility of giving someone a flush or straight draw, watch for people re-checking their hole cards. They’re checking to see if they have a piece of it – whether that black Ace was a spade or a club. The player doesn’t have the flush or straight at that point, because if they did, they wouldn’t have to check, but she is seeing if she has a draw to it.

Taking a Long Time Before Calling a Bet

If a player looks into the pot and seems to be doing some calculating in his head, he probably is. He’s most likely figuring out the pot odds to see if it’s worth it to try and catch the cards he needs to complete his drawing hand

A final note to think about:

More experienced players may give off false tells, so the first thing to read about other players is if they’re a novice or a pro.

Betting fast or slow could be a tell. That's why I always take the same amount of time after every bet so it can never be a tell. |

If a players shoves all in when its not yet his turn, it could be a tell that he had a good hand. |

I liked bowers reply the best. thats some good advice i think. I often wonder when a player takes a little more time if there deciding but than i think that maybe they have some one bugging them like i do half the time . I swear dean just knows when it's poker time and comes in and starts talking away...LoL.

That was sad josie you had from 7 to J and the other had 8 to Q . I would of went all in to. |

If they bet completely out of character... a tight player suddenly being very free with their bets a good tell they have something...

or a strong player suddenly weak may show a bad hand. |

There are people who fold quite often and I think that if this person simply stays in the game, it is probable that they have good cards.

As far as taking a while to decide what to bet, I think that could happen for a lot of reasons, not necessarily a good hand. Someone not to experienced at bluffing might take a while to decide how far they want to take it. |

I watch to see if they are looking around to see how many have their chips in their hand ready to call the bet and looking nervous as hands reach for their pile of chips to call the bet |
