Dearest Mojo,

Your words so humble me, tho they are new precious treasures to me.

But believe me, Mojo, I am nothing special (other than being a Crusher!).

I'm just one more good-looking guy who found out early in life that good looks plus a dollar will buy you a cup of coffee and not much more......so I had to learn to use every ounce of brain power I could muster to prove to myself I could make it, no matter what "it" might be, if I was willing to dedicate myself to learning just a little more about it than the guy next to me.

Once that was done, the next step was easy in comparison: learn just a little more than the guy at the top.

That is how I discovered the shocking truth about poker that I have abided by and will swear to till this very day......and it is my #1 secret to making a good living playing poker: KNOWING THAT POKER AND LUCK HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER. It is learned knowledge of the game and practiced skills of that knowledge that makes a consistent winner.
Anything else, if it happens, is just a one shot deal, a soon died out flash in the pan. Only knowledge goes on and on without end and even has the possibility and probability of growing greater with time......to anyone who is willing to keep learning.
It stops and becomes stagnant only for someone who believes he has learned it all. Better he should have learned nothing at all. A LITTLE knowledge truly IS a dangerous thing.

I didn't mean to turn this into a lesson, but there you have it. The whole ball of wax. And yet such a simple truth.

That is why I never wish a poker player "Good Luck"! I wish a real poker player only what he really needs, "Good Thinking"!

Thank you, Mojo, and all all my faithful poker scholars. And Good Thinking to you Always!

Your PokerGuru

You bet I like it, my friend, but we probably like it most because of all we know that lies behind it.

I might even go so far as to say that thinking is the least used of all our God-given abilities. Therefore, we need to give more thought to thinking.
Don't you think so?

LOL

Out of all the lessons I could have chosen to read first....luck vs knowledge...(although knowledge should tell you that you can't beat luck - LOL!)

...let's see how this week goes...old habits are hard to break...but hopefully Guru's lessons will soon change that...so far everything makes sense logically...I try to set aside my playing habits/tactics and follow Guru's guide - I'm excited - this just may be the piece of the puzzle I've been looking for.

I am so very happy to hear this, Kid!

You certainly are starting with the right attitude! <-- Which shows you have no ego problems, which is very admirable!

Great thinking to you in your studies and be sure to let me know with any help you need.

I think a rich future awaits you!!!!!! I am very excited about that!
