Finally, gang, we are ready to find out the winners of Guru's last January contest.

Quite frankly, I am a little puzzled by this one. If any of you have any idea why only 7 members entered this contest, please post your thoughts right here below the announcement of winners.

Could it possibly be that 9 cash contests in one month is more than you want? If so, I am shocked. I would think, 'the more, the better'. But what do I know? In this realm, YOU are the experts and I need some instruction.

Personally, 9 cash contests and all those PC points are a very welcome addition to our home.Maybe a few overlooked the last contest on the list because when they looked at the portal other posts answering other contests filled the page.Another good reason to always read the forum page where everything is listed.I'm sure nobody would purposely miss out on another chance to win $30.

My answer to your question is, "What contest?"

You can see how well I've been keeping up (not very) because I see this post is dated almost 3 weeks ago, and this is the first I've seen of it. Which is the same reason behind my not entering the contest you're talking about.... except in that case, I didn't just see it too late, I never saw it!

Now I'm not saying I couldn't or shouldn't have through any fault of yours, because I know perfectly well where to look for contests and I think pretty much everything else around here, but like I said, I just haven't been keeping up that well, and somehow I missed this one altogether. This was the first I read of it in your post above.

But that doesn't mean I'm saying there are too many contests!!

Not at all!

I usually do better at keeping up with them than I have this month, and I expect I will in the future too. So I hope there are always plenty of cash prize contests for us, and even though I (and everybody, I think) might miss one sometimes, that doesn't mean we appreciate them any less or wish there were fewer of them!

One thing I have noticed though, is it seems that they might sometimes be somewhat... how should I put this, don't want to sound critical, because I think everybody's doing a SUPER job in everything here, better than any other site I know of by FAR...

BUT I was thinking that the contests might be a little too much ... um...well, ALL OVER THE PLACE! LOL!
They do seem to get scattered or something like that, which might be a factor in whether or not people enter them... now I admit that this might just be me... a misperception on my part, because I haven't been following everything to a T... but that's just how it's seemed to me sometimes.

And then you also have a penchant for starting something in one thread and then... well, now that I think about it, I don't know how you do it actually, but seems like sometimes, something starts in one thread and ends up in another! One thing in particular I think I've noticed like this is when u might put up a contest (the first announcement of it) in one thread, but when it is over, you might start a whole new thread announcing the winners, or just to talk about the contest or something else that you already had a whole separate thread for somewhere else.. And then, of course, they're usually going to have similar subjects for both of them, since they are both on the same topic, so it's easy to get those confused with each other.
It's probably no less confusing the way I've tried to explain this to you though! I realize you may still not know what I mean, so one example I can give you specifically about this is when I came across the thread that contained the "contest" you had about whether we thought most PC-er's were or weren't pet owners. I had seen it earlier, as I told you about, but decided to pass on replying to it at that time, and then, by the time I came across it again, the contest had already ended...

but I didn't know this, because the "CONTEST OVER WINNERS ANNOUNCED" part of it was in another thread you started somewhere else, when that contest ended, maybe even in a whole 'nother forum!, But certainly in another thread...which I had yet to see, when I came across the contest announcement thread again, and decided to go ahead and answer it, since I could see ( I thought) that it was still open, by looking at the last page of the contest thread, where it looked to me like it must still be open, since I didn't read otherwise...

So I went ahead and entered that contest, (I thought) and then while continuing to browse the forums that day, trying to see what all I may have missed in the days previous, when I wasn't able to come in as regularly as I like to... AFTER sending in my reply to the contest, THEN I came across the other thread where you had announced that the contest was over and the results of it!

It sounds like I'm griping here, but really I'm not at all; in fact, I was glad I got to reply to that particular one anyway, whether I was still eligible to win anything or not, just due to the nature of that particular contest topic.... I wasn't really answering trying to win a contest that time; I was answering just so I could tell everyone about my pets and about what happened to our little dog who got hit by a car... so I'm certainly not complaining that I went to alllllll that trouble of entering a contest that I didn't know was already closed, or anything like that... I was afraid that was what I was sounding like there, but it's not anything like that at all, just want to be sure u understand that.... but I may still be saying it might be making things a little harder to follow on the forums when things are broken up into separate threads like that. For me anyway.
I'm sure that something like that is the part of the reason why I, for one, didnt enter this contest that you asked about.
It would seem logical that all the contests could always be found in the forum titled... Poker-Crush Cash Contests! But I know you like to "hide" them, sort of, in other places, maybe to keep us on our toes, or to reward members who are taking a more active part in reading and participating in the forums -- which makes perfect sense to me, too, I understand that... and when I'm in a hurry and only look in the "Contests" forum to see what contests are open, I'm aware that I may be missing out on something that is not listed there, but somewhere else entirely, and I guess sometimes I just decide I have to make that sacrifice.

So anyway, I don't know how clear I made all that, but that's what I think!

So I'll just go ahead and post this and then if all I've done is confuse you more, then you can tell me and I'll see if I can clear things up some more!

Once again, thanks for all the contests and everything else - you do more for your members than anybody else does, that much I'm sure of!

And I'm NOT complaining!

If you think you are long-winded, I just typed for more than an hour to answer this post of yours and when I hit SUBMIT, the system had timed me out and I had to sign in again and all that typed message was lost in space!

I don't have it in me to try to repeat all that, but please understand that every thought you expressed here was fully understood by me.

I am re-thinking a lot of it, but I already today replied to your main idea in my post in the thread WINNERS ANNOUNCED - CONTEST #7.

I would also ask you to read the PORTAL page of our site, the one I am always preaching to you all to read, the first page of our site. It explains EXACTLY where to find every one of my contests.

The only exception is the HIDDEN ZIP CONTESTS, which were meant to be hidden. My thinking was that it would add some more fun to the reading of all our posts if you kept coming across hidden treasures as you read.
I may, however, have to re-think that, too.

Sunspun and ALL: I always appreciate and welcome your posts about anything whatsoever that might be a problem to you!

After all, my whole self-defined purpose here is to help SOLVE your problems, not to create more of them for you.

making a long story short,lol, when will I have my $60 ,that I won in 2 contests in january, in my Neteller account pls?
I remember we were told on 25 of januari, within 15 days, its now,28 days later, I dont like begging for it, but I really do not understand why we do not get paid.Sorry if this does not sound nice or kind, but its my first real winning, since I am member of Poker Crush.so I hope to hear about this soon,
